#AMD FIREPRO W4100 MULTIPLE BACKGROUNDS DRIVERS#
i did already update my Radeon AMD FirePro W4100 drivers & soft ware, but the issue stays. They are not selectable, but they do get anoying. you want an OS/software drive (A) and then multiple storage drives so that you can (for example) read data from drive B and write to drive C. Since my upgrade to 2020.1 I get a lot of 'ghost' lines in my assemblies. Most NLE sites (this is not an NLE site) post benchmark. So basically, I can only have 3 monitors running at a time. effects, codec used, background processes, and many more. The adapters I'm using are all identical. However when I went to install the second AMD Firepro W4100 into PCIe x 16 slot 2 it did not work. I installed the first AMD Firepro W4100 into PCIe x 16 slot 1 and it works fine. I know the monitors themselves are fine because I can get any combination of 3 monitors in any combination of 3 ports to work. Cards Based On Amds Graphics Core Next - Amd Firepro W4100 2gb PNG image for free. I have 8 active mini displayport to DVI adapters for my DVI cables made by Tripp Lite P137-06N-DVI-V2. I get the same thing if I try to enable the 4th monitor in Windows 7 display settings (just gives me an "Unable to save display settings" error). If I try to extend to it, FirePro software gives me a message that I have to disable one other monitor before I can enable that one.

The AMD FirePro software shows a 4th monitor as disabled. The monitors only have DVI and VGA ports, no native DisplayPort connections, so I'm using active displayport -> DVI adapters.

I was under the impression that I could run 4 monitors off of this, but I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my combination of adapters. It is based on the Cape Verde chip (GCN 1.0), that can also be found in mobile consumer cards like the Radeon. The FirePro W5100 has 4 DisplayPort outputs, but I can only seem to get any combination of 3 monitors to work (the 4th always just gives a "no signal" message and goes black). The AMD FirePro W4100 is a professional graphics card for mid-range workstation PCs. Replaced an older system where 4 monitors were working fine. So I have a new HP workstation with an AMD FirePro W5100 card (specs and other details below).
